About Us
Veterinary Emergency Hospital of Midlothian, is a newly privately owned, 24/7 animal ER facility seeking to hire new graduates, as well as more experienced veterinarians.
The ER is located in a southern DFW suburb, in one of the fastest growing areas which provides a unique opportunity for living. You can easily live in the city, with downtown Fort Worth & Dallas both being less than 30min away, the suburbs, or in the country with a short drive to work. The area provides many social opportunities and is a warm community to live in.
Here at VEHM our main focus is on providing quality medicine for our patients, and clients. In addition to 24/7 ER care VEHM will offer integrative medicine appointments during weekdays (doctor who’s practice is limited to ER and integrative medicine) with cold laser, acupuncture, chiropractics, magna flow, etc. We also offer limited exotic emergencies. Neither will be required of a candidate but if interested there will be opportunity to learn.

If a candidate can provide those qualities we can provide the guidance/mentorship and experience to succeed. We are searching for one candidate to hire in a paid trainee/mini-internship role with complete oversight before being progressed to an autonomous doctor.
What To Expect
We expect this to be a 3-6 month training period in which the candidate should transition from shadowing, to seeing cases with the MD, to minimal oversight of their cases. During this time we will work to help the candidate to become proficient and confident in all sectors of emergency medicine along with client and staff communications. The candidate will also have opportunities to work at “sister hospitals” to gain additional experience, including working at one of the largest referral hospitals in DFW.
The faster an individual progresses to being autonomous, the faster they will be promoted to a full associate position along with the included competitive salary and benefits package which can be discussed in more detail.
