When she’s not managing the financial aspects of VEHM, Dana can be found traveling, reading, or crafting. If she were to embody the qualities of a pet, she’d opt for the simplicity and joy of being a dog, relishing the good things in life such as delicious food and quality time with her loved ones.
Dana cherishes a beautiful piece of advice: “The best things in life are the people you love, the places you’ve seen, and the memories you’ve made along the way.” Her commitment to VEHM is fueled by the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team of passionate, compassionate, and skilled individuals who work together seamlessly to provide top-notch care to their patients and clients.

Outside of work, Anna’s interests include reading, quality time spent with her partner and their trio of dogs, as well as hanging out with her friends. When asked what kind of animal she would be, her answer was a Norwegian Forest cat because of its independence, affection towards a few, playfulness, uniqueness, intelligence, and curiosity.
What Anna loves about working at VEHM is the exceptional teamwork she experiences, “…the way we are able to perform great patient care and have a great time doing it. We have a great staff of clinicians and support staff”.
Anna’s favorite quotes are “Those who know, do. Those that understand, teach. “- Aristotle, and “Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”- Ralph Waldo Emerson.

And I like to be free fed”
Her favorite quote to pass along is: “It’s absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious” – Oscar Wilde.

Meredith’s journey into the veterinary industry began with a deep-seated love for animals. She started her career in shelter medicine in 2016 before transitioning to her first emergency room role in 2018. Her passion for helping animals stems from the profound satisfaction she feels when alleviating their pain and suffering. Meredith believes that animals, unlike humans, don’t understand why they are ill or in pain, and it is immensely fulfilling for her to provide them with the care and relief they need.
Meredith knew she was in the right profession from her very first day in the field. Despite the challenges and difficult days, she cannot imagine herself in any other career.
Outside of work, Meredith enjoys a fulfilling personal life with her partner of ten years, Sarah, and their seven beloved furkids, which include three dogs and four cats. Meredith’s hobbies include painting, reading, and spending quality time with her pets. She also loves kayaking and embracing the great outdoors, which provide a perfect balance to her dedicated and compassionate work life.

What Ashley values the most about her role at VEHM is the incredible team she is a part of: “our job is hard but it isn’t very often you get to work with people who genuinely care about our patients’ level of care and each other’.
Beyond her professional life, Ashley treasures spending quality time with her family. She firmly believes that everything in life happens for a reason, and that no matter what challenges come her way, she has the resilience to overcome them. If she could be any pet, she would be a Boxer, as she is serious at times, but mostly she really just enjoys making people laugh and becoming great friends.

Outside of work, Garret’s interests include baking and art. When asked what kind of dog or cat he would be, he answered “any breed of cat”, because, “I feel cats can do whatever they want and get away with it.”
Garrett enjoys working at VEHM because he truly believes that we are practicing great medicine, and care about pets and their owners. His best advice is to “take your time in this field, be patient.” because, “being a great technician takes time.” His favorite part of the job is learning about all the ways we help and heal pets.

Her journey in veterinary medicine began at her family’s veterinary practice, but her passion truly flourished when she transitioned to Emergency Medicine. A defining moment in her career was during her first week in the ER when a heat stroke case came in. Witnessing the team’s immediate and coordinated effort to save the pet’s life confirmed her calling in the field.
Outside of work, Abby enjoys a fulfilling family life with her spouse, two children, and a bonus kid who spends summers with them. In her spare time, she loves reading, cooking, baking, and attending plays or musicals.
